Habitat day parking area is approximately 3 miles north of Olde Homestead golf course on Hwy 309. As you are traveling north on 309, the parking area is on the right.
Join us on April 8th, 2017 at 8:00am for the Lehigh Valley chapter's Seventh Annual Habitat Day. We will be planting young crab apple trees just off Hwy 309 north of New Tripoli at the base of Blue Mountain. (same location as last year) The trees will be secured by fencing and posts. (See location map below) Afterwards, lunch will be served. This early successional habitat will provide food and cover for the Ruffed Grouse. Please contact habitat chairman, Jim Boburka at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer...and bring the whole family! Watch the video below to see how young forest habitat benefits the Ruffed Grouse and many other species of wildlife.
